Undressing Underwater is the first solo album by Rusty Anderson. It first appeared in 2003 as a self-production on Anderson's label oxides Records and was re-laid on 13 September 2005 on Surfdog Records.

Genesis

Undressing Underwater was recorded in the studios oxides studios in Southern California, Sunset Sound in Los Angeles and the Henson and produced by Rusty Anderson himself. Most songs were written between tours with Paul McCartney. Usually first came the lyrics and the melodies to the lyrics gebaut.Bei few songs he was assisted by David Kahne, Mudrock and Parthenon Huxley. The title of the album ( in German: " undress yourself under water " ) is based on an article in a Boy Scout manual from the 1960s.

After the album was first laid out by Anderson himself, appeared on 13 September 2005 a new edition of the album on the record label Surfdog Records.

Guest musicians

On the opening song Hurt Myself is next to Paul McCartney on bass and as a background singer almost hear his full touring band: Abe Laboriel Jr. on drums, David Kahne as a keyboardist, Probin Gregory flugelhorn, Brian Ray on acoustic guitar and Paul Wickens also on keyboards. The recordings had to be implemented relatively quickly in three days tour stop in Los Angeles. On Catbox Beach Stewart Copeland is heard as a drummer. Other guest musicians were:

Music style

Undressing Underwater is primarily a rock album, but the various influences, as relates in part to the hard rock, the '60s pop, reggae and surf rock. Rusty Anderson wrote on this album mainly songs that are not based on a guitar solo, as is usual with solo albums by renowned guitarists.
