A visit ( Original title: Une visite ). 's A short film directed by François Truffaut in 1954, the film was long thought to be lost, according to Hans Helmut Prinzler in " François Truffaut ", Carl Hanser Verlag, Munich 1985, found Truffaut in 1982, the -lost copy.

Action

A young man of a room by newspaper advertisement. First he phoned, then he goes to an apartment, where he opens a young girl. It feeds as a lodger. The young girl receives a visit from her brother and his little daughter. The brother asks her to take care of the child for the weekend. The two men, the brother and the subtenant, begin to flirt with the young girls, but this does not deal with the advances of the two. The new lodger packs his things back together and leaving together with the in-law apartment. In the evening, the young girl puts the child to bed and close the curtains.

Criticism

The film had virtually no public presentations, so there is no critical reactions. Truffaut himself recalled in a later interview little more to his motives for making the film.
