Unearthly Trance

Unearthly Trance was an American doom metal and sludge band from New York City, New York, which was founded in 2000 and disbanded in 2012.

History

The band was formed in 2000 by guitarist and vocalist Ryan " Rion " Lipynsky and bassist Jay Newman. After the first demo was released under the name Sonic Burial Hymns, the label Southern Lord was aware of the band, what the single Lord humanless Awakens / Summoning The Beast appeared. The third album The Trident was released in April 2006 on Relapse Records. The album was again led by Sanford Parker. The recordings took place mainly in this Steve Albini's Electrical Audio studio. Style
