UNetbootin

UNetbootin stands for Universal Netboot Installer and is a free program that allows a Linux or BSD distribution can be installed on computers without a CD or DVD drive, such as a USB removable media.

Features

It supports a variety of operating systems natively, such as Ubuntu, Fedora, and Gentoo can download the program itself constantly in the background and set up. It is also possible to access an already present on a hard drive ISO dump an install media any Linux distribution.

History

With FUSBi exists a spin-off, which specializes in operating systems, that are blessed to be free from proprietary residual constituents by the Free Software Foundation.

Technology

The software is programmed by Geza Kovacs in the programming language C and uses Qt4 for the graphical user interface.
