Unified Socialist Party of Mexico
The Partido Socialista Unificado de México ( PSUM ) was the politically strongly left- aligned and retentive to the ideologies of communism EUR United Socialist Party of Mexico, which existed 1981-1988.
The PSUM went in November 1981 from the following Parties to the strong left political wing, which ranges in 1977 for electoral alliance " Coalition de Izquierda " (Eng.: Coalition of the Left ) had joined forces:
- Partido Comunista Mexicano of - PCM,
- The Movimiento de Acción y Unidad Socialista - MOUSE (German: Movement of Socialist activity and association ), active in the Mexican labor movement splinter group of the PCM
- The Partido del Pueblo Mexicano - PPM (German: Party of the Mexican people ) and
- The Movimiento de Acción Popular - MAP ( German: Popular Action Movement).
Party leader Arnoldo Martínez Verdugo was PSUM.
After merging with the Partido Mexicano de los Trabajadores (PMT ) 1987, 1988 from the PSUM the Partido Mexicano Socialista (PMS ) produced.
