Uniformed Services of the United States

Uniformed Services of the United States ( German uniformed services of the United States) is - according to Title 10, United States Code - a collective term for the seven uniformed services of the U.S. federal authorities.

Definition

Title 10, United States Code lists exhaustively on all the Uniformed Services, and thus people in the federal level of the United States that fall under the military legislation. These are in accordance with Title 10 § 101 (a ) (5)

Armed forces

The armed forces consist of five branches of the armed forces. Four of these are the Ministry of Defense of the United States associated with:

  • United States Army ( Heer)
  • United States Navy (Navy)
  • United States Marine Corps ( Marine Corps )
  • United States Air Force (Luftwaffe )

The fifth part of armed force, the United States Coast Guard ( Coast Guard ), while it assigned to the armed forces, takes the same time police and other tasks. It is a subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Security of the United States authority, but in case of war or by adoption of the U.S. President, the United States Navy and thus the Ministry of Defence shall be subject.

Uniformed Services outside of the armed forces

The

  • National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Corps

And

  • Public Health Service Commissioned Corps

Uniformed Services are outside the armed forces within civilian federal agencies.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is an agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the United States Public Health Service an agency of the Ministry of Health.

The Commissioned Corps of both federal consist only of officers without team or non-commissioned officer ranks. With the exception of military justice, which they are not subject to all the rights and duties of an officer in accordance with Title 10 apply to them in service uniforms are worn, the modeled on the uniform of the U.S. Navy, however, are equipped with the insignia.
