Union City is a city in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. In the 2010 census, a total population of 66 455 has been registered. Union City is located near the Hudson River and thus close to the metropolis of New York City. According to the results of the 2000 census, Union City was the most densely populated city in the United States. It also has a very high proportion of Latin American immigrants ( Hispanics ).

Union City was created as a merger of the previously independent municipalities West Hoboken and Union Hill on January 1, 1925.

Geography
