Union County (Indiana)

Union County is a county located in the state of Indiana in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Liberty.

Geography

The County is located in southeastern Indiana, on the east by Ohio and has an area of 420 square kilometers, of which ten square kilometers of water surface. It borders in Indiana clockwise to the following counties: Wayne County, Franklin County and Fayette County.

History

Union County was formed on January 5, 1821 from parts of Fayette County, Franklin County and Wayne County.
