Union List of Artist Names

The Union List of Artist Names ( ULAN ) is a structured vocabulary of about 293,000 names and other information about artists. It is published by the Getty Research Institute.

It is a thesaurus, which is an important resource for the assignment of objects of cultural heritage, especially for archives, libraries and museums.
