Union Parish, Louisiana

The Union Parish (French: Paroisse de l' Union) is a parish located in the state of Louisiana in the United States. In 2010, the Parish had 22 721 inhabitants and a population density of 10 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( Parish Seat) is Farmersville.

The Parish is located in northern Louisiana, bordering Arkansas and has an area of ​​2345 square kilometers, of which 72 square kilometers are water surface.

History

The Union Parish was formed in 1839 from parts of the Ouachita Parish.
