Unison (Virginia)

Unison is an unincorporated community in southwestern Loudoun County, Virginia. It covers about 20 plots over an area of ​​approximately 0.28 km ² and is located about 8 miles from Middleburg in Loudoun Valley.

The then eight -acre area was founded in 1813 and received in 1829 the name still used today Unison, originally it was called Union. Reason for the name change were problems with the postal authority, which did not tolerate the same two cities in the same state. Although there were settlements in the area in the 18th century, most of the buildings were built in Unison until 1802.
