United Nations Disaster Assessment and Coordination

The Disaster Assessment and Coordination team of the United Nations ( UNDAC teams, English: United Nations Disaster Assessment and Coordination teams ) are specialized intervention teams that perform the quick exploration and coordinate relief efforts during disasters. The teams will be provided by the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs ( OCHA), the UN Emergency Relief Coordinator.

Such a team can be deployed at a disaster or after a request for assistance in the crisis region. But are 214 ready- members (as at 30 April 2007) is available.

Tasks

UNDAC teams to coordinate international assistance on site. You decide whether a pre- Dovetailed operational coordination center ( OSOCC English: On-Site Operations Coordination Centre ) is established.
