The Trusteeship Council of the United Nations ( United Nations Trusteeship Council English ) is a currently inactive principal organ of the United Nations. It was founded on March 26, 1947 and was originally intended ( according to Article 87 of the UN Charter ) to the colonial possessions of Italy and the Japanese Government and the after the First World War transformed into League of Nations mandates former colonies and parts of the country the Germans and the Ottoman to manage the empire. After dismissal of the last Trust Territory ( Palau on 1 October 1994 ) in the independence of the Trusteeship Council, but has suspended its work on 1 November 1994. He is officially since the end of 1975 only from the five veto powers People's Republic of China, France, Russian Federation, United Kingdom and United States. After that there were ideas with new tasks, such as the administration of collapsed states to mandate the Council, but this has not happened.
