United Pensioners

The Italian party Pensionati Uniti ( German: United Pensioners ), founded in 1987 with the aim of representing the interests of retirees. Political leader of the party is Filippo De Jorio. The party, whose full name Federazione Italiana Pensionati Uniti, FIPU ( German: Italian Federation of United Pensioners ) is, has so far presented only in a few local elections.

In early 2006 the party changed its name and symbol, on the occasion of the merger with the Movimento Pensionati ( German: Movement of Pensioners ), an active national movement, under the leadership of Roberto Olivato. Currently, the name of the party Pensionati Uniti - Movimento Pensionati with a unit symbol from the two previous logos.

President of the party is Roberto Olivato, chairman of the Movimento Pensionati and former member of the Partito Pensionati, from which, however, he resigned due to the positioning of the Partito Pensionati within the center-left coalition L' Unione. Coordinator and chairman of the party Pensionati Uniti - Movimento Pensionati is Filippo De Jorio.

The party belongs to the center-right coalition Casa delle Libertà by Silvio Berlusconi, and has set in 2006 in a few constituencies and thereby given a moderate result.
