United States Bridge Federation

The United States Bridge Federation (short: USBF ) is the national Association for Bridge in the United States.

History

He was spun off in 2001 by the American Contract Bridge League and the American Bridge Association. The USBF was originally formed from ACBL and the ABA and now receives support for the United States International teams from the ACBL International Fund and the Junior Fund. Otherwise he wears himself from membership fees, donations and entry fees for the events of the USBC. 2002 sent the Federation a team to Salt Lake City to represent the members of the IOC before the official opening of the Winter Olympics as part of an IOC meetings the sport. The United States Bridge Federation is a member of the World Bridge Federation ( WBF ).

On January 16, 2013 George Jacobs was regularly elected for two years as the new President.

Purpose

The United States Bridge Federation selects the U.S. players for international competitions. It also supports the World Bridge Federation in their efforts to Olympic recognition for Bridge. He organizes Championships (Open, Women's Tournaments, senior and junior teams) and provides training and support for the teams of the United in international competition.
