United States men's national volleyball team
The men's volleyball national team of the United States is a selection of the best players in the United States, the United States Volleyball Association ( USVBA ) represented in international tournaments and international matches.
History
World cup
In the first two appearances at the World Volleyball Championship, the United States occupied the sixth and seventh place. The 1962 World Cup they missed, then there was until 1982 always results in the double digits. But in 1986, the U.S. team was suddenly successful and was the final victory against the Soviet Union World Champion. Four years later the Americans were back in 13th place after the third rank in 1994 was followed by two ninth places. Olympic games
