United States Mint

The United States Mint is a federal agency of the United States, which is primarily responsible for coining the U.S. dollar. Your service is based in Washington, D.C. History

The first branch was the Philadelphia Mint in 1792, the second Charlotte, North Carolina ( 1838-1861, impressed mark C), Dahlonega, Georgia ( 1838-1861, impressed mark D) and New Orleans, Louisiana ( 1838 to 1909, impressed mark O). Facilities
