United States Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources
The United States Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources is a committee of the U.S. Senate, which deals with energy, nuclear waste, the public land and affairs of the Hawaiian natives.
The Committee has its roots in 1816, founded Committee on Public Lands, in 1921 renamed to Committee on Public Lands and Surveys. 1946 joined as part of a wider reform of the Senate with the Committees on Indian Affairs, which together represent U.S. territories and affairs of the islands, the Committee on Mines and the Committee on Irrigation and Reclamation.
