United States women's national basketball team

The women's national basketball team of the United States is the national selection of American basketball players. It is selected by the National Basketball Association and represents the United States in international tournaments.

The team is the most successful women's basketball team in the world and won in previously 7 Olympic participations 5 times the gold medal and one each time the silver and bronze medal.

The national team has 1994-2006 lost a basketball game, only in the Basketball World Championship 2006, she lost in the semifinals surprisingly against Russia.
