United Torah Judaism

United Torah Judaism ( UTJ ) (Hebrew יהדות התורה המאוחדת, Jahadut HaTorah HaMeukhedet ) is a political alliance between the two parties, Agudat Israel and Degel HaTorah Jisra'el.

Both parties are small, ultra- religious parties that are represented in the Knesset. The alliance was founded in 1992. At the founding Rabbi Yaakov Aryeh particular age, Joseph Shalom Elyashiv, Dov Rokeach Jisachar, Elazar Menachem chess and Aharon body Schteinman were involved.

The two parties were not always in all political questions agree, however, have worked together over the years and brings together a set block to achieve the highest possible number of seats in the Knesset.

When the Alliance 2004, the ruling coalition joined under Ariel Sharon, they split their back in their two parties. Before the 2006 elections, both parties renewed their alliance, however, again. In the current 19th Knesset, the United Torah Judaism is represented with seven seats.
