Universitetet metro station

Universitetet is an underground station of the Stockholm Metro, located below the eponymous university. It is located in Norra Djurgården district. The station is owned by the Röda linjen the Stockholm subway system operated. Nearby there is an interchange with narrow- Roslagsbanan. The position below the University, as well as the interchanges make the station into one of the most frequented of the U- Bahn network. On a normal working day rise to 10,000 commuters here.

The station was taken on January 12, 1975 in operation, as linjen the northern section of the Röda was inaugurated between Tekniska högskolan and Universitetet and was, until January 29, 1978 end of the line T14, as the extension of the Röda linjen up to its current endpoint was opened in Mörby centrum. The platforms are located about 20-24 meters below ground. The station is located between the stations Tekniska högskolan and Bergshamra. Stockholm Central Station is approximately five kilometers.
