The University Malaysia Perlis ( UniMap ) (English University Malaysia Perlis, sometimes. Universiti Malaysia Perlis ) in Arau in the state of Perlis is a public university founded in 2001 in Malaysia. She is a University with an emphasis on teaching and research in the field of electronics.

History

The University was established in 2001 as University College Kolej Universiti Utara Malaysia Kejuruteraan, Eng. Northern Malaysia University College of Engineering ( Kukum ) founded as State Technical College. The trial run started in 2002 with 116 engineering students. In October 2007, the University College in Malaysia Perlis was renamed and received university status.

Organization

The full-time management of the University is headed by the Vice-Chancellor. This is overseen by a Board of Directors. The university is not broken down into faculties, but in schools:

  • School of Computer and Communication Engineering
  • School of Microelectronic Engineering
  • School of Electrical Systems Engineering
  • School of Mechatronic Engineering
  • School of Manufacturing Engineering
  • School of Materials Engineering
  • School of Bioprocess Engineering
  • School of Environmental Engineering

The facilities of the University are currently distributed to a variety of places. It is all planned to merge two campuses in Ula and Sungai Pauh Chuchuh.
