University Athletic Association

The University Athletic Association ( UAA ), also known as Nerdy Nine or Egghead Eight, is a string of eight universities League for various sports that play in the NCAA Division III. The UUA is the only league whose members are all also members of the Association of American Universities, an association of leading North American research universities.

The league was founded in 1986. The members are located in the states of Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Ohio and New York. The headquarters are located in Rochester, New York.

Members

All universities except Brandeis were founding members. The Johns Hopkins University was another founding member, is now, however, no member of the UAA more.
