The University for Development Studies (German University for Development Studies ) (short: UDS) in Tamale is one of seven universities in Ghana. It is the northernmost of all universities and was founded with the founding date 1992 as the fifth University in Ghana. At UDS, students can demonstrate the subjects agriculture, medicine, applied sciences, Integrated Development Studies, interdisciplinary research.

The University is divided into five teaching sites:
