University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate

The University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate ( UCLES ) is the local examination syndicate of the University of Cambridge in England. It is responsible for a large number of examinations that are valid for the entire United Kingdom and in some cases internationally. These include, for example, the ESOL ( English for Speakers of Other Languages ​​) and the Cambridge International Examinations ( CIE).

UCLES was founded in 1858. 1873 created the universities of Oxford and Cambridge University, the Joint Board of Oxford and Cambridge Schools Examination Board, today as the OCR Examination Board one of the top three examination boards in England (OCR Oxford, Cambridge, RSA).
