The University of Detroit, since 1990 University of Detroit Mercy is a private, co-educational Catholic university in Detroit, Michigan. Currently, about 6,000 students study here. The university is a member of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities.
History
It was founded in 1878 by Jesuit University. In 1990, she teamed up with Mercy College of Detroit, which had been founded in 1941 by the local Sisters of Mercy, together.

Campus
The university is spread over three locations: on McNichols Campus, most programs have their headquarters here is also the sports club and six halls of residence. At Riverfront Campus is the Law School and at the Outer Drive Campus, Faculty of Dentistry, which will pull in 2008 to a new location.
