The Universidad de Deusto in Bilbao and San Sebastian is a university in Spain. History

The Universidad de Deusto was the first Basque University, in what was then vizcayinischen Elizate Deusto (now a part of Bilbao ) founded in 1886. The existing school of the Jesuits in Laguardia has been upgraded and now re-established as a university. With the new building of the architect Marquess de Cuba, at that time the largest building in the city, the Jesuits moved their existing school in Laguardia district in the center of Deusto, Bilbao today.
