The University of Education, Winneba (German University of Education in Winneba ) (short: UEW ) is a university founded in 1992 in Ghana. The UEW is distributed on a campus in Winneba in the Central Region and one each another campus in Kumasi and Mampong in the Ashanti Region. In September 2006, a total of 23 262 students studying at the UEW. Of these, 13,026 regular students, 8,906 students enrolled in Distance Learning program and 1,330 part-time students. Faculties

The UEW is divided into 29 departments and centers that spread across six faculties. A total of 12 learning centers for local students absent were established throughout Ghana.

The Faculty of Agricultural Education combines the departments of Agricultural Engineering, livestock, interdisciplinary studies as well as soil and grain. The Faculty of Applied Arts and Technology consists of the divisions Economic Education, Interdisciplinary Studies and Technical Education. The Faculty of Education are subordinate to the departments of elementary education, early childhood education and psychology and education, and special education. Campus
