University of Nebraska Omaha

The University of Nebraska at Omaha is a state university in Omaha, Nebraska. With 14,093 students, it is the second largest university in Nebraska. It is part of the University of Nebraska system.

History

The college was founded in 1908 as the University of Omaha. In 1931 she was renamed the Municipal University of Omaha. It was given its present name on entering the University of Nebraska system in 1968.

Sports

The sports teams of the UN are the Omaha Mavericks. The university is a member of the North Central Conference. The hockey team plays in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association.
