University of Nebraska system
The University of Nebraska is one of two public university systems in the U.S. state of Nebraska. The system consists of four universities and a technical College:
- University of Nebraska- Lincoln
- University of Nebraska Medical Center (located in Omaha )
- Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (located in Curtis)
History
The University of Nebraska was founded in 1869 in Lincoln. The first 99 years, the University is synonymous with the campus in Lincoln. In 1902, the Medical Center in Omaha this. In its present form, the University organized in 1968, when she received the University of Omaha in the composite. The Kearney State College was incorporated in 1991 as the fourth member of the group.
