The University of Nova Gorica (Slovenian Univerza v Novi Gorici ) arose from the Nova Gorica Polytechnic, founded on 24 September 1995 in the same city in Slovenia.

The University consists of six faculties and a graduate school. Current Rector is Danilo Zavrtanik.
