University of Primorska

The University of Primorska ( Slovenian: Univerza na Primorskem; Italian: Università del littoral ) is a university in Slovenia. It is located in Koper, Izola and Portorož and was named after the Slovenian Primorska region.
History
On 29 January 2003, the founding charter was adopted by the Slovenian National Assembly and thus founded the University of Primorska. Already during the first independence of Slovenia after the first World War, there was an attempt to found a university in Koper.

The university consists of three faculties, two colleges and two research institutes.
