The University of South Bohemia České Budějovice, Czech Jihoceska univerzita v Českých Budějovicích, English University of South Bohemia České Budějovice, is a company incorporated in 1991, public university located in České Budějovice, Czech Republic.

History

The university was founded in 1991. Predecessor high schools were the Faculty of Education, which was originally a part of Prague's Charles University, and a faculty of the University of Agriculture in Prague. With the founding of the university created three new faculties: the Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Theology and the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences. In 1996, the Research Institute of Hydrobiology fish farming and the college was affiliated. 2003 established the Institute of History, the later formed one of the basic elements of the Faculty of Arts, founded in 2006. In January 2007, the Faculty of Economics was established in August and the Biological Faculty was restructured in the Natural Sciences. Was created in 2009, the Faculty of Fisheries and Conservation.
