University of the South Pacific

The University of the South Pacific (USP; German " University of the South Pacific " ) is a university, spread across many locations in the South Pacific. Their primary focus is on the study of the culture of Oceania and the environment. The research by the University achieve international attention, so studying alongside students from the Pacific States also increasingly students from around the world at the USP.

The USP forms both in undergraduate as well as postgraduate degree courses. Among the topics include:

Construction
The USP is jointly operated by twelve Pacific island countries.
In each of these states there is a campus. In addition, there is the School of Law in Vanuatu and the School of Agriculture and Food Technology in Samoa. The office is located in Suva, the capital of Fiji.
Financing
The budget of the USP is supported in addition to the twelve states of operator mainly by Australia. On 13 December 2005 an agreement was signed between representatives of the University and the Australian government, after Australia participates with 9.9 million Australian dollars over the next three years. In addition, the country is about 2.5 million Australian dollars per year for scholarships.
