University System of Maryland

The University System of Maryland ( USM) is a network of state universities in the U.S. state of Maryland. With about 130,000 students, it is the twelfth largest university network in the United States. It was formed in 1988 from the five institutions of the University of Maryland and the six institutions of the State University and College System of Maryland.
