Universo Online

Universo Online ( UOL ) is an online service and Internet service provider. The company is listed on the financial index IBOVESPA. UOL is the leading provider in Latin America and the website portal is the largest of its kind in Portuguese.

UOL in 1996, now retired as a joint project of the Grupo Abril publishers, and founded Grupo Folha. UOL has strengthened its leading position with the Publications Revista Veja and Folha de São Paulo.

The previously belonging to the Grupo Abril BOL - a Portuguese -language Internet portal, free e-mail providers and web hosts ( the free offer " vilaBOL " has been set after a call for security of the websites and data, as of November 2012) - first even became the news portal of Grupo Folha, which was later renamed the Folha online. BOL is now hosted at UOL.
