Unmanned surface vehicle

As unmanned watercraft boats are known that operate autonomously or by remote control and without its own team. Most common are the English terms Unmanned Surface Vehicle or Autonomous Surface Vessel (German: Unmanned Surface Vehicle ). Essentially, there are three areas of application can be distinguished:

  • Oceanography: To explore the seas.
  • Military: For education, mine clearance, but also for offensive use.
  • Academic: Research on autonomy.
