UNOSAT

UNOSAT is the satellite observation program of training and research institute of the United Nations ( UNITAR ) in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNOPS ) and the European Organization for Nuclear Research ( CERN) in Geneva.

UNOSAT has an object to provide free satellite images and maps for security, peace and socio -economic development. The contract is based on a mandate from the UN General Assembly of 1963 The motto of the UN institution is:. " UNOSAT solutions for all".

The launch its own satellite failed in August 2003 at the Brazilian rocket explosion.
