Action
Berlin in 1906: The Chocolate Dynasty Gravenhorst is a traditional family business with an excellent reputation. In an imposing villa on the fine address " Unter den Linden " lives a wealthy family of five with their servants under one roof. But an invisible border runs between the basement and the stately rooms above.
The model for the series was the successful British series Upstairs, Downstairs Place.
Background
Phoenix Film produced the first season of the series in two studios in the Berlin Union Film in Berlin- Tempelhof, Outdoor shooting took place in nearby Potsdam. The second season with another 13 episodes should start in the fall, but it never came. Lack spectator interest has already moved the series after the broadcast of episode 5 to an earlier time slot in the afternoon and finally adjusted.
