Unterach am Attersee

Unterach is a municipality with 1444 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the southwestern part of Upper Austria in the district of Vöcklabruck. It lies at the southern end of Lake Attersee in the Salzkammergut ( Judicial District Mondsee ).

Name Origin and Coat of Arms

The place name derives from the Bavarian Untraha " intermediate water " due to the location of Mondsee and Attersee.

History
