Unterauersbach is a municipality with 447 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the south- east of Styria in the district of Southeastern Styria.

Geography
Unterauersbach is located approximately 34 km south-east of Graz, approximately 13 km southwest of the district capital field creek in East Styrian Hill Country.

The municipality comprises the three villages (in brackets population as of 31 October 2011):
- Glatzental (142)
- Oberauer Bach ( 85)
- Unterauersbach (223 )
The municipality comprises the cadastral Unterauersbach. Neighboring communities:
- In the North: Baumgarten bei Gnas
- In the East: Gnas and Raning
- In the south: Aug - Radisch
Population Development
Policy
The council consists of nine members and is since the municipal elections 2010 mandates the following parties together:
- 7 ÖVP - provides the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor
- 2 Community list Unterauersbach ( GLU)
Coat of arms
The award of the municipality coat of arms was made with effect from 1 August 1993. Coat Description: In a blue shield growing a diamond-shaped golden First rider with knob, three broken roses in the middle and plugged lily.
