Geography

Unteregg is located about 35 km south- east of Memmingen in the Danube -Iller region in central Bavaria.

History

Unteregg belonged to the imperial abbey Ottobeuren. Until the mid-18th century, large parts of today's municipal territory lay in the imperial knights economic domination stone.
