Unterendingen

Unterendingen (Swiss German: nɪdər ˌ ændigə ) was until December 31, 2013, municipality in the district of the Swiss canton of Aargau Zurzach. It is located in Surbtal, about four kilometers from the border with Germany. On 1 January 2014 merged with the municipality of things Endingen.

Geography

The village is situated in the narrow valley of the Surb at the mouth of the striae Bach. This flows east of the village by a deeply cut ravine which separates the hill Buhalden and Teufelskanzel each other. History

In the High Middle Ages, the village belonged to the dominion of the Barons of Tegerfelden.
