Unterensingen is a municipality in the district of Esslingen, 18 km from the district town of Esslingen am Neckar and 4 km from Nürtingen away.

Geography
Geographical location
Unterensingen is on the left and west side of the river Neckar. It was originally settled on the mountain side, in the last 50 years, the flood plain has been built on.
Neighboring communities
Adjacent communities are Koengen in the north, Wendlingen in the east, in the southeast Oberboihingen, Nürtingen in the south, Wolfschlugen and Filderstadt in the West and in the North West Denkendorf (all the district of Esslingen ).

To Unterensingen include the village Unterensingen and the homestead Lindenhof.
History
Ensingen was first mentioned in documents in 1124. The division into Oberensingen ( now part of Nürtingen ) and Unterensingen is secured since 1358. The two Ensingen originally belonged to the dominion of the Dukes of Teck and went in the late Middle Ages to Württemberg, which then assigned the location of the Office Nürtingen.
From 1938 to Unterensingen belonged to the district of Nürtingen, the successor of Nürtinger Office with which it rose in 1973 in the district of Esslingen.
Religions
Since the Reformation Unterensingen is dominated Protestant. Since the resettlement of displaced persons after the Second World War, but there are also Catholics back in place, forming a community with the faithful from Koengen.

Coat of arms
Official Blazon: " In the golden ( yellow ) main shield of the coat of arms is a black stag bar, including blue one vierspeichiges eight -blade liges mill wheel. " While the water wheel on the conceptual singing indicating a mill site, the stag bar shows the centuries-old membership of Württemberg.

Economy and infrastructure
Traffic
Unterensingen is connected by the federal highway 313 ( Plochingen -Tübingen ) to the national road network. The Federal Highway 8 is two kilometers away and can be reached via the junction Wendlingen.
It runs the bus service operated by the VVS 184 Wendlingen and to Nürtingen where each connection to the regional railway line Stuttgart -Tübingen and in Wendlingen to the S1 of Kirchheim / Teck to Herrenberg is.
Established businesses
