Unterspreewald

The community sub- Spreewald ( Lower Dolne Błota ) is located in the district of Dahme -Spreewald in Brandenburg.

It was created on December 31, 2001, from the voluntary merger of the previously independent municipalities Neuendorf am See, Leibsch and Lübbenau. Today it is attached to the Office Unterspreewald, whose administrative headquarters is in Golßen.

History

Leibsch was first mentioned in documents as Liubsi in 1004. The old fishing village of Neuendorf am See had Neuendorf 1200 a Vorwerk Mönchehofe of the monastery (now Muenchehofe ). The " colony Lübbenau " was founded in the mid 18th century. The original name of the place was " Libbenauerei in Schadow 's bush ".

Arno Pötschick is mayor of the municipality Unterspreewald and mayor of the district Neuendorf am See. Bernd Rocher is mayor of the district Leibsch, Lothar Lorenz mayor of the district Lübbenau.

Attractions

In the list is the monument built in 1939 and the village church Lübbenau. The municipality also includes the Neuendorfer lake.
