Geography
Geographical Location
Unterstadion is located in the Danube Valley, south of the Danube in the lower reaches of the creek standing.
Neighboring communities
The municipality is bordered to the north by Rottenacker, on the east by the district Volkersheim the city Ehingen, on the southeast by Schemmerhofen in the district of Biberach, to the south and to the west by Oberstadion Emerkingen and to the northwest by the city Munderkingen.
Community structure
The municipality consists of the two sub- varieties Unterstadion and Bettighofen.

History
The community Unterstadion was first mentioned in 1129, today the suburb Bettighofen already 823
Religions
Unterstadion is mainly dominated Roman Catholic and has its own parish church of " St Mary and Ulrika Nish ". It was inaugurated in 1982 by the then Diozesanbischof Georg Moser and houses a Ulrika Nish Memorial. From the small town of demonstrably at least 40 religious and diocesan priests went forth.
Music
Village life is framed by the Musikverein Lyra. This orchestra has been playing for more than three decades continuously in the highest level. Traditionally, hosts the annual concert at Epiphany.
