Untertilliach

Untertilliach is a municipality with 249 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Lienz ( East Tyrol ) of the federal state of Tyrol in ( Austria ).

Geography

Geographical location

The community Untertilliach is the southeast corner of the district of Lienz at the border of Carinthia and Italy. It includes parts of the Lesach ( also referred to as Tillacher valley). The settlements of Untertilliach are located mainly in the valley of the Gail between the Lienz Dolomites and the Carnic Alps. The municipal area is 36.34 km ², the communities of the 33 Osttiroler siebzehntgrößte. It is bordered to the north by Aßling and Leisach, on the west by Obertilliach, in the south to the Italian municipalities of San Pietro di Cadore and Santo Stefano di Cadore and on the east by the Carinthian village Lesachtal.

Community structure

Entering the municipality at the Gail Valley Road in the west to the border with Obertilliach, so one reaches the Winkl that of the Sects Winkl ( 1235 m above sea level. The proportion of under-15s rose by 1 January 2013 slightly to 15.3 percent, while the share of people between 15 and 59 years increased to 66.7 percent. The proportion of 59 -year-old, however, dropped to 18.1 percent. Marital status in 2001 59.5 percent of the population of Untertilliach were single, 32.3 percent married, widowed, divorced and 6.1 percent, 2.2 percent.

Demographics

Policy

In the national elections in 2006, the community came to the attention of the media by the completely unusual election result of 12.6 % of the vote for the Communist Party of Austria ( KPO ). In the state elections of 2008, the Communist Party was once again gaining 11.76% and became the second largest party in the community. In the national elections in 2008, the Communist Party achieved third place behind the ÖVP with 18.8 % ( 46.5 % ) and the AAF ( 19.8 %) and achieved its highest share of the vote at the municipal level.

Economy

Workplaces and employees

The study conducted as part of the Census Census of 2001 resulted in Untertilliach only seven workplaces with only 26 employees (excluding agriculture ), with 62% of people in employment were. Agriculture and Forestry

Tourism

Tourism has a below-average economic importance to the community Untertilliach, but ensures some of the few jobs in the community. The community was in Tourism year 2012/13 approximately 6,200 nights count. In the summer half of 2012 saw Untertilliach 3218, during the winter season 2012/13 2,949 nights. Today the community like all other East Tyrol East Tyrol belongs communities for Tourism, with Untertilliach is organized in the " holiday region Alta Pusteria ". In the village there is a three- star hotel, an inn, several landlords of apartments and the possibility of farm holidays. The tourist infrastructure is, however, sparse. In winter, the " Grenzlandloipe " through the community, in the summer, the trails can be used in the municipal area as the Carnic mountain path. However, the municipality has no own shelter.

Transport and Infrastructure

Untertilliach is traffic- developed by the Gail Valley road (B 111), which runs from Sillian in Val Pusteria to the Lower Carinthia's Gail Valley. The settlements of the municipality lie all at or near the Gail Valley Road. To the public transport network Untertilliach is connected by buses to the Post AG, the line in about 35 to 40 minutes driving time connects with Sillian 4416 up to eight times per day Untertilliach about Panzendorf, Tassenbach, and Kartitsch Obertilliach. The line is guided over Untertilliach and Maria Luggau to St. Lorenz in the valley of Lesa and holds in the community Untertilliach a five stops. The nearest rail connection is in Tassenbach ( Drau Valley Railway ).

Untertilliach is one of only three municipalities in the district of Lienz, had not joined forces to turn of the millennium with other municipalities to a Wastewater Association. Education

The first school is busy in the community dating back to 1804, when first in the old chapel of St. Florian, a lesson was held. In 1885, the establishment of the first private school building, which was expanded in 1890. Today's elementary school was built in 1955-1962. However, the number of students declined as a result from strong. Health and Safety

Since the closure of the police station Obertilliach the community Untertilliach is hosted by the Police Inspectorate Sillian. Regarding the health Untertilliach is organized jointly with the municipalities Außervillgraten, Innervillgraten, Sillian, roads, Hein Rock, Obertillach and Kartitsch in Sozialsprengel Osttiroler Oberland. In Health Care Ward for example health services such as nursing assistance, home and domestic help, palliative care and family support services are organized. To the doctor's visit, the inhabitants have to commute to Sillian, the nearest hospital is the Lienz district hospital. The volunteer fire department Untertilliach belongs to the section of the Oberland District Firefighters Association Lienz.

Culture and sights

In Untertilliach are 8 listed, immovable objects, almost exclusively religious monuments are protected. In addition to the parish church of Sts. Florian, Ingenuin and Albuin, built 1777-1779 on the site of an earlier building, mainly include the Branch Church, Sts. Ingenuin and Albuin ( former parish church ) and the large chapel of the Immaculate Conception to the monuments. The chapel is situated in the hamlet harrows and was constructed in 1831 on the site of a chapel from the 18th century. The altarpiece from the period around 1830 shows the Immaculate Conception in cool colors. Other monuments are the local parsonage, small chapels, parentheses mill on niche Bach to the 19th century.
