Unzen (Nagasaki)

Ounces (Japanese云仙 市, -shi) is a city of Nagasaki Prefecture on the island of Kyūshū in Japan.

Geography

Ounce is located east of Nagasaki on the Shimabara Peninsula.

History

Ounces was born on 1 October 2005 from the merger of the municipalities Minamitakaki, Kunimi, Mizuho, Azuma, Aino, Chijiwa, Obama and Minamikushiyama.

Education

In today ounces there are two public high schools. The " Kunimi High School of Nagasaki Prefecture " (长崎 県 立国 见 高等学校, Nagasaki kenritsu Kunimi Koto Gakko ) in the previous Kunimi has six times the national high school tournament won 1987-2003 in football and also spawned numerous professional football players since the 1980s, including the national team Takuya Takagi, Ryota Tsuzuki, Yoshito Okubo, Yuhei Tokunaga, Sota Hirayama and Kazuya Yamamura.
