Upham (New Mexico)

The ghost town of Upham, New Mexico is located about 50 km east of the town of Truth or Consequences and 70 km north of Las Cruces Jornada del Muerto in the valley at an altitude of 1390 m. The valley is crossed by a north - south line of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. The town was the construction of railways in 1881 as a workers' settlement, but the inhabitants were unable to keep the harsh climate of the region.
