Uppåkra

Uppåkra [ ɵpo kra ː ] is located on the territory of today's community Staffanstorp the name of an Iron Age settlement and a former rural community and a still existing church in southern Sweden, Skåne, about five kilometers south of Lund. A place called Uppåkra there are now no more, but the settlement Bergströmshusen is unofficially referred to as Uppåkra.

The Iron Age settlement

The congregation Uppåkra is one of two parishes of the Church of Sweden in the field of community Staffanstorp. The same churches all belong to the parish Uppåkra, as is the cemetery of Flackarp on which until 1865 was also a church, but this was demolished.
